How can they learn now ? C *Activity 4. Fill in the blanks with the given vocabulary in brackets. Uses of Mobile Phone We use mobile phones for almost everything now. Gone are the days when we used them for only calling. Now, our lives revolve around it. They come in use for communicating through voice, messages, and mails. We can also surf the internet using a phone. Most importantly, we also click photos and (1)_______videos through our mobile’s camera. The phones of this age are known as (2)_________. They are no less than a computer and sometimes even more. You can video call people using this phone, and also manage your official documents. You get the chance to use (3)________ and (4)_________ through it. Moreover, we see how mobile phones have replaced computers and laptops. We carry out all the tasks through (5)________which we initially did use our computers. Post- Reading *Activity 5. Discuss in pairs / groups. How can school students use personal electronic devices to learn English? I have a smartphone. For me, Smartphone which is an useful device and modern. So I usually use smartphone to chat with my friend, look up new words or information, and especially I can practice my English. That is the devices help me improve their pronunciation and vocabulary. V.Homework - Review the vocabulary. - Practice the conversation again at home. - Prepare for the next lesson part -speaking - T gives instruction about the describable “ please focus on the screen and I will show you four pictures. Try your best to answer the questions.” - T shows four pictures on the screen. - T asks ss some questions: 1. Who are they ? 2. Where are the students in 3. What are they using ? 4. Do you think they use them to play games or learn something ? - Ss volunteer to answer the question - T checks the answers with the whole class - “After we have finished the warm up, I will give you a question to discuss. Ok. Look at the board “ Those image make you think what about? ” - Ss discuss and answer the question. -T leads in the lesson. - T leads to pre-teach new vocabulary. - T follows some steps of teaching new vocabulary. - T models the new words.( picture and explanation ). - SS listen the pronoun of the teacher. - SS read aloud new words chorally then individually. - T checks the stress of each word. - T lets SS read aloud all new words. - SS read aloud all new words. - Then, T checks vocabulary. -T runs through Activity 2. - T asks ss to read the requirement in Activity 2. - T explains the Activity. - T gives ss work in pairs in 3 minutes to match each of the words or phrases with its meaning. - Ss work in pairs in 3 minutes to match each of the words or phrases with its meaning. - T checks the answers by the game “ who’s faster”. - T divides class into 2 groups: A& B. - T explains the rule of the game: “Each member of each group who know the answer will take turn to go to the board and write down the answers. Which group is faster and has more correct answers than another will be the winner” - T checks the answer with whole class. - Ss copy down the answer.
