I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to

- Identify different types of pollution.

- Understand the causes and negative effects of pollution on our enviroment and health.

- Integrated especially reading skills.

- Students understand more the importance of preserving the enviroment.

II. Teaching materials: Laptop, LCD projector, textbook, board, pictures. projector and powerpoint.

Warm-up: 
Watching video clip and answer the questions.
*Questions:
+ How many types of pollution are there in the video ?
+ What are they ?
+ What types of pollution are there in your country / hometown ?
*Answer key:
+ There are seven types of pollution
+ They are: air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, radioactive pollution, light pollution, heat pollution and noise pollution.
+ There are noise pollution and soil pollution in my hometown.
Lead-in: “ Those video clip make you think what about?”

Today, we will learn a lesson that related to this topic in Unit 9: Preserving the environment – Reading

- Recently in my neighborhood there are air pollution. A new market has just openned there. After the market time, people throw a lot of gabbage in the gound and it smells awful. The worse thing is that the gabbage attracts flies and other insects which contain diseases.
- There is a market near my house, too. The hygiene task is good but it is very noisy. The sound of truck, people and animal combines together and make me crazy.
