Những động từ tận cùng: /S/; /SH/; /CH/; /X/; /O/; /Z/ + es
Kiss – kisses; do – does; go – goes; watch - watches
Những động từ tận cùng là Phụ âm +y ; ta đổi y – ies
Study – studies; fly - flies
Động từ tận cùng có một Nguyên âm + y; ta không đổi, thêm “s”
Play – plays; stay – stays; enjoy - enjoys
c. Cách phát âm:
Của động từ ngôi 3 số ít cũng giống như phát âm của Danh từ số nhiều.
- Đọc /s/ khi tận cùng bằng các âm /f/; /k/; /p/; /t/,/ θ /: laughs, works, stops,wants.
- Đọc /iz/ khi động từ có âm cuối là: /s/, /∫/, /t∫/; / ʒ/ /z/; /dz = dʒ/
Misses, washes, watches, changes, uses, dances
Đọc /z/ khi động từ bắt đầu bằng các âm cón lại: Goes , buys, comes, opens
d. Trạng ngữ: Every (day, week, month, year...); constantly (luôn luôn); always; usually; often; sometimes; never; occassionally (thỉnh thoảng); once a (week, month, year....); twice a (week, month, year ..) three times .. Câu hỏi: How often does/do + S .?

	- Dùng để chỉ các hành động thói quen, mang tính chất lặp đi lặp lại.
	Ex: She usually gets up at 6 A.m.
	- Dùng để chỉ các sự kiện và sự thật hiển nhiên, chân lý.
	Ex:Water freezes at 0 degree centigrade.
 - hành động trong tương lai được đưa vào chương trình, kế hoạch.

* Dấu hiệu nhận biết:

* Cách dùng:
	- Một hành động đã xảy ra và đã hoàn tất ở thời gian xác định trong quá khứ.
	Ex: We bought this car two years ago.
	- Một thói quen trong quá khứ.
	Ex: When I was young, I often went swimming with my friends in this river.	
 - Một chuỗi hành động trong quá khứ
Ex: I entered the room, turned on the light, went to the kitchen and had dinner.
* Dấu hiệu nhận biết:
 	yesterday ________ ( yesterday morning, yesterday afternoon, .)
	last _______ ( last year, last night, last week, last month .)
	_______ ago ( two years ago, many months ago, ten minutes ago .)
	 in + year in the past ( một năm nào đó trong quá khứ: in 1999, in 2001 )

LESSON A: READING 1
I. Objectives:
1. Aims: - Students read and guess the meaning of words in contexts.
	 - They read and answer questions about the texts.
	 - They practise scanning specific information in the texts
2. Knowledge:
 - General knowledge : A day in the life of a farmer.
 - Language: - Words concerning farming.
 - The present simple tense.
II. Teaching aids: - pictures, board, chalks, textbook, handouts

1. Warm- up:( 10 mins)
+ Aims: to introduce the topic of the lesson and to raise sts' interest.
- Asks sts to close their books
- Delivers handouts, and ask sts to match a noun in column A with a phrase in column B.
